For years I struggled to figure out why I felt stressed all of the time and how I could keep that stress from seeping into my time with my kids. I was always feeling short tempered and not fully present. I desperately wanted to find a way to bring more balance and calm to my life so that I could enjoy my time with my kids rather than look back and regret yelling at them or saying no all of the time. Basically, I was sick of feeling guilty and stressed all of the time! Some big changes to my motherhood (and life) experience started with a few simple self-care steps that have had an extremely positive impact on my life and, I’m sure, my kids’ lives as well.
